Condition
The sheet is secured to the mount with one strip of adhesive tape running along the upper edge. The left vertical edge and the lower horizontal edge are deckled and the right vertical edge and the upper horizontal edge have been cut, in keeping with the Artist's technique. There is some undulation to the sheet. There are some lines of cracking and flecks of loss to the gouache, particularly in the red pigment at the right of the composition, with a further spot in the light orange pigment at the centre left of the composition. There may be some slight fading to the watercolour. There is some light time staining to the edges of the sheet, not visible in the current mount. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a simple gilt wood frame.
