Condition

Not examined out of the frame. The board appears sound. There are one or two very minor instances of frame abrasion apparent to the outer edges of the board in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be excellent overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals a thick and uneven layer of varnish. There are some areas of fluorescence, but these are not thought to be indicative of retouching. The work is tightly float mounted within a painted wooden frame, held under glass.
