Condition

The sculpture appears sound. There is some slight rubbing to some of the protruding edges of the bronze, most apparent to the top of the figure's head and her hair at the back. In one or two places there are some very slight and small pit marks, thought to have occurred as part of the casting process, including one to the figure's nose. There is some surface dirt apparent to the crevices of the bronze. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is attached to a polished marble base with one bolt. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
