Condition
The sheet is attached to the backing card with tape along all four edges, and the sheet appears to be laid down. The sheet appears sound. The sheet is folded over and creased in the lower right corner, and there is some light scuffing to the sheet at the lower right vertical edge, none of which are visible in the present mount. There are several very minor, isolated spots of foxing to the sheet. The sheet is slightly discoloured, apparent when viewed out of the frame, and there is some staining in the upper right corner, not visible in the current mount. There are one or two traces of surface dirt and studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and presented in a gilded and moulded frame, held under glass.
Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
