Condition

The sheet is sound and is not laid down but has been attached to the backing board in the corners. The sheet undulates slightly. There are some scattered light spots of staining and specks of studio detritus in all four quadrants, but most particularly in the right half of the work. There is a small scuff to the sheet in the lower left corner, and two further light scuffs in the upper right quadrant. There is a tiny fleck of paper attached near the center of the composition. The sheet may be very slightly discoloured but there are strong bright passages of medium throughout. Otherwise in good overall condition. Held in a cream painted wooden frame with a white backing board. Please telephone the department on +44 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
