Eight-page score "Mischa, Yascha, Toscha, Sascha" in pocket at rear. Publisher's dark blue morocco, spine stamped in gilt, joints rubbed, minor wear to extremities; original blue slipcase, with minor discoloration and wear.

First edition, one of 300 copies signed by Gershwin and Alajalov, this being copy number 157. Featuring eighteen songs, including some of the composer's most famous, "Fascinating Rhythm," "Swanee," "Strike Up the Band," and "I Got Rhythm" among them. Each entry carries an accompanying drawing by Constantin Alajalov who, among other accomplishments, was an illustrator for the New Yorker and the Saturday Evening Post.
