Condition

The canvas is relined. The painting's varnish appears slightly dirty, which is confirmed by a varnish that appears slightly milky under UV light. The painting would probably benefit from a very light clean. UV light faintly reveals a possible old repaired hole at the center of the figure's chest. UV light also reveals an area of retouching at the center lower edge, and small but scattered spots of retouching in the background. The painting is sold in a carved, painted, structurally sound frame.
