Description

Condition

A recent relining is firm and stable. The surface is clean and the painting is presentable. The painting surface has been well retained with very good detail throughout. Examination under UV light reveals retouching throughout the background areas. There is a line of retouching (about 2 in. wide) all around the sides. On the figure, there is retouching on toes lower right, on upper hand, in face and hair. Only a few very small ones on legs and drapery. These have all been well applied and there is no need for further work. Offered in a brown wood frame.
