The cushion-cut sapphire weighing 11.44 carats, set between two shield-shaped diamonds, size 5¼, expandable shank.

In good condition, with wear to the mounting which is fitted with an expandable shank. Shank inscribed F.M. PLAT PAT NO'S 3221514.3736770. The sapphire is a richly saturated blue color, slightly included, with a surface reaching inclusion at the girdle, a light scratch across the table and minor abrasion to facet junctions visible under 10x magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.20 carats, are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Shank expands to a size 6½ to fit over knuckle. Accompanied by AGL report 1085803 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
