Condition
Not examined out of the frame. The board appears sound. Upon close inspection, there are some very fine lines of craquelure and reticulation to some of the thicker elements of paint, most apparent to the white, black and dark brown pigments of the boat, with some resultant tiny lifting to the black pigment towards the right side of the lower edge of the boat. There may be one or two slight scuffs to the work in places. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is held in a painted wooden frame with a linen slip.
