Condition
Not examined out of the frame. The shaped canvases and board appear sound and securely attached. There is some slight rubbing, with some associated flecks of loss, to the edges of the shaped canvases in places, most apparent to the upper right corners of both of the blue shapes to the middle and right. There is also some rubbing and two scratches to the lowest area of green pigment at the left side, some light scuffing to the tips of the green shape in the middle, and a scuff to the lower orange and green shapes at the right side. There is some minor cracking to the board in line with the grain of the wood, and the edges of the board are slightly rough, in keeping with the Artist's materials. In places, the adhesive which has been used to affix the shaped canvases to the board is visible, and is slightly discoloured. There are two light scratches in the lower right quadrant. There are some light specks of studio detritus and surface dirt. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
The work is mounted in the Artist's own wooden box frame, held under glass.
Ultraviolet light reveals some areas of fluorescence, which are thought to be in keeping with the Artist's materials. There is some uneveness to the fluorescence of the white background.
