Condition
The board appears sound.
There are some slight areas of old compression and minor abrasion visible to the extreme corners of the left hand side, elsewhere the edges of the work are not visible in the present frame. There is a small abrasion to the centre of the lower edge, with one or two smaller traces of light rubbing to raised elements of thicker impasto visible upon close inspection. There are some soft scratches and scuffs visible upon closer inspection, including, but not limited to the top right quadrant. There are traces of surface dirt. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals traces of fluorescence and possible retouching to the extreme edge of the centre upper edge, and a spot to the top right hand quadrant, together with some traces of surface matter or possible light mould to the cream pigments.
Housed in a thin white wooden frame, set within a thinner slip frame and linen-textured mount, with the edges not visible. Unexamined out of frame.
