Not examined out of the frame. The sheet appears to be adhered to the backing card in several places, but does not appear to be laid down. The sheet undulates slightly, but otherwise appears sound. The paper maker's stamp is visible in the lower right corner. The sheet has deckled edges, with one or two very tiny possible tears to the edges, in keeping with the nature of the materials. Upon close inspection, it is possible to see some isolated instances of very fine reticulation and craquleure, with some small flecks of loss in places, most apparent to the black pigment in the lower centre of the composition and the orange pigment at the upper edge, with some further very minor instances elsewhere. There are two light possible scuffs in the lower right quadrant. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
