Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
The board has been unevenly cut, most visible along the left hand edge, and top right edge, and there are Artist's pin holes in all four corners as well as at further intervals along the extreme edges. The board appears sound.
There are some minor signs of light flattening to some of the thicker areas of impasto, together with some light signs of minor abrasion to the left hand edge, which may, in part be in line with the unevenness of the board. This excepting the work appears in excellent overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence which appear in keeping with the nature of the Artist's materials and do not suggest retouching.
Housed behind glass in a thick dark wooden frame, set within a smaller, float-mounted strip frame. Unexamined out of frame.
