Description

- Southern German, probably Swabia, early 16th century
Condition
There is evidence of past worming throughout. This has led to some losses, in particular around the base, to the book, to the proper left hand and to the tower. There are further losses to some of the locks of hair and to the top of the head. It is possible there may be some recarving to the face. There is minor stable splitting to the wood, consistent with the material, including a slightly open split at the front of the terrasse, where there may also be a small loss to the wood. Otherwise the condition is stable.
