Condition
This work is in good condition overall. The colors are vibrant, and the media layer is stable. Artist pinholes are present in each of the four corners. Three minor spots of pigment loss are present in the lower center and center right quadrants, in the arm and body of the child. Additional minor spots of pigment loss are present along the extreme edges of the sheet, likely due to frame abrasion.
This painting will be exhibited at Sotheby's in a frame on loan from Diego Salazar Antique Frames. This frame is available for purchase. Please contact the Latin American Art Department for more details.
