A Givenchy couture black satin dress, circa 1956-8, white on black satin label and numbered 98574 bis, of narrow, tapering shape with satin ribbon bows defining the bodice and narrow ‘hobble’ hem, with ruched and gathered waist, bust 86cm, 34in Dress has been taken in down both side seams and below the waist down the centre back seam which has raw edges on the seam returns

This model was included in october 1996 exhibition La petite robe noire at the Printemps Haussmann
