Condition

A Jean Patou chinoiserie beaded tunic ‘Nuit de Chine’ 1925, un-labelled, the chiffon ground covered with pink, blue and gold beads with pagodas, cloud scrolls, peonies, figures with parasols and on swings, bust 96cm, 38in. This dress was exhibited at the Fashion Institute, Metropolitan Museum of Art’s ‘China’ exhibition Taken in down right side. Beading is generally good, lacking the occasional turquoise bead from the hem.
