Model 'Black Swan', a tulle and lace cocktail dress
Condition
A Christian Dior by Yves Saint Laurent tulle and lace cocktail dress, ‘Cygne Noir’ Spring -Summer, 1959, indistinctly numbered 98265, comprising princess-line tulle under-dress with integral corset and suspenders, the over-dress with fichu-like collar of layered tulle, small spherical buttons, the skirt of goffered tulle banded with frills of lace, bust 86cm, 34in, waist 66cm, 26in
Good – there are holes in the tulle to the zip closure area of the under-dress and some of the pleats have become unsewn in the integral petticoat – but these are not noticeable when the dress is mounted or worn
