Condition

The medium is oil on canvas. The canvas is not lined. There is very nice impasto. There is some minor, fine craquelure in the thickly painted whites in the upper right corner. There is some very minor pigment separation in the thickly painted areas particularly in the upper right. There is a small dark brown line of accretion, about 3mm long, at the extreme left visible edge, about 8 inches from the bottom. Under UV: There is some fluorescence in two places in the table cloth left of the vase, in the top central white peony, and to the right of the central delphinium. The media is fresh and strong and the work presents very well.
