Condition
The medium is charcoal and oil pastel on paper. The work is in very good overall condition. There is old paper tape on all four edges, verso. The left edge has its original deckle, probably from a sketchbook. The right upper and lower corners have been rounded off evenly. There is some even mat stain in all four margins, very faint along the bottom and right edges, more visible along the top and left edges, and there is a small portion of the top edge at left (about 1cm in length) which appears to have lost its pigment, not visible in the current framing. There are a few very tiny points of old hinging residue in the margins, also covered by the current matting. The media appear bright and fresh and the work presents very well.
