Condition

The canvas is wax lined. Examination under UV light reveals some lines of retouching to the white pigment of the central roof, each approx. 3cm long, pertaining to a stretcher bar mark, and some further small spots of retouching to the white pigment of the left roof. There is some stable shrinkage within the dark pigment of the trees on the left and the fence at the lower right. There is a minor spot of pigment loss towards the centre of the right edge and some flecks of paint loss at the extreme edges associated with frame rubbing. This work is in overall good condition.
