Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals some minor spots of retouching to the central tree and to the sky, associated to small flecks of paint loss. There are further paint losses in places, most notably along the upper edge, and one line of paint loss to the left part of the lower edge which is associated to paint lifting. There are areas of paint shrinkage and fine lines of craquelure in places, most prominently in the light pigments of the sky and the trees but also in the red pigment along the lower edge. There are fly spots in places. This work is in overall good condition.
