Condition

Overall in very good, original condition. When viewed in person, the piece presents with richer russet brown and forest green patinations than is conveyed in the catalogue illustration. The base is depicted in high relief with undulating and swirling patterns, and with three fish encircling the stems. The bronze surfaces with minor oxidation and minor surface soiling to the recessed areas of the design. The central column of the three-branch stem with areas of rubbing, largely concentrated to the center. This is consistent with age and gentle handing and is visible in the catalogue illustration. A very naturalistic and rare form, the candelabrum presents very well overall.
