Condition
Overall very good original condition consistent with age and gentle use. Each of the elements with some minor scattered surface scratches, minor tarnish and some very minute spots of discoloration. The edges of the ice bucket, tray and a few of the cups exhibiting very minor loss of silver plating. Two of the cups with a slight bend to the stems and therefore the cups are presently sitting slightly askew. The side of one tray handle is very slightly bent from the center outwards, not visually disruptive. The ice bucket with some light discolorations to the interior, possibly from use. Rubbing to two areas on two exterior panels on the ice bucket (one area approximately 1 1/8 x 2 3/8 in., the other approximately 5/8 x 1 ½ in.) The shaker with some light residue to the interior, possibly from use, and light surface scratches to the body of the exterior. With a very slight indentation to one side edge of foot, only visible upon close inspection. The cork element to the interior of the top of the shaker with one minor shallow loss measuring approximately ½ inch in length and less than a 1/8 inch in depth. The majority of the cork is intact, slightly dry. This set is a rare work by this designer to appear on the auction market, which displays beautifully in person. A superb example of American Modern design.
