Condition
Overall in very good condition. The wooden surfaces have been sensitively refinished with minor discoloration, and with scattered scuffs and scratches concentrated to the outer edges, all consistent with age and gentle use. The proper left section of the top two panels with corresponding areas of professional and sensitive restoration to the extremity of the top and bottom shelves, along the depth and 3 inches in width., stable and not visually distracting. The top panel of the shorter shelf with a few faint ring marks, the longest measuring approximately 5 ¼ in. in diameter, not visually distracting. The underside of the bottom shelf with two areas of staining, fading and discoloration, not visible when the shelf is installed. The wooden areas immediately surrounding the mounting points of the lacquered metal shelves throughout with scattered rubbing and abrasions. The metal elements appears to retain their original lacquer, and with minor scattered scuffs, scratches and oxidation concentrated to the front outer edges and rear mounting points. A few of the mounting screws have been replaced. A fine example of one of Charlotte Perriand's most memorable designs.
