Condition

Overall in very good condition. The charred wood surfaces with cracking, chips and losses throughout, inherent to the production of the piece and intended by the artist. The surfaces with minor scuffing concentrated to the bases of the feet, and minor surface dirt in the recessed areas throughout. The rear proper right leg with a crack which measures approximately 3 ¾ in. has movement and is likely inherent in the production of the piece. Due to the nature of the production, the piece is extremely fragile and should be handled accordingly. A striking example of contemporary Dutch design.
