Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the blue reflective tones of the bench are more subtle than in the catalogue illustration. The surfaces with minor fine scratches throughout and minor oxidation concentrated to the bases, consistent with age and gentle use. The proper right side of the seat with a partial circular mark measuring approximately 1 ½ in., not visually distracting. In addition to regular indoor use, this bench is also capable of being displayed outdoors. An undulating and dynamic form highly representative of Scott Burton's body of work, with an example in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
