Condition
Overall in very good, age appropriate condition. When viewed in person, the surfaces present with rich tonal variations ranging from pale yellow, gold to bronze and highlighted with notes of red and green. There is a highly textural surface which has a more detailed presentation than is visible in the catalogue illustration. A few small areas of oxidation throughout, typical of this material over time, which contributes to the richness and variety of the color palette. The bronze surfaces with minor rubbing consistent with age and gentle handling. The central circular sculptural element with some white plaster residue to the interior which could be removed with professional attention. The piece exhibits a nice three-dimensionality to with with the vertical elements in various planes. Highly representational of this series by Bertoia, the work is substantial in size and presents very well overall.
