Condition

Overall in good, original condition consistent with age and gentle use. The wood surfaces present with minor scattered rubbing, scuffs, light scratches and nicks, largely concentrated to the outer edges and the base. The freeform edges are highly figured and the burls all intact and original. The table top with light scattered hairlines as visible in the catalogue illustration and inherent to the nature of the wood. The overall form presents with a warmer hue than appears in the catalouge illustration, though there is some minor sun fading throughout. The right bottom edge (as positioned in the catalogue illustration) with a minor chip measuring approximately 1/8 in., not visually distracting. The dual-form leg with a hairline radiating around an outer edge, stable and measuring approximately 3 in. The bases of the legs with minor rubbing. A versatile slab with undulating and interesting freeform edges; a hallmark of Nakashima's creative aesthetic.
