Condition
Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces have been sensitively revarnished and present with some surface scratches, minor abrasions and a few discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The proper left front leg has possibly been replaced with an old leg and has been sensitively refinished to exactly match the color of the other legs. The balls under the seat with some replaced screws. The chair has been reupholstered at some point in the history of the piece and the leather is in good condition with a few minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. A striking chair by Hoffmann designed for the Purkersdorf Sanatorium, combining a minimal design and an extremely elegant shape.
