Condition
Overall good condition. When viewed in person, the greens and blues are brighter and more vibrant compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The enamel with losses at the upper- and right-most points on the circumference, adjacent to the bird’s beak, the bird’s eye, and on the bird’s breast which is flaking slightly, visible in the catalogue illustration. This piece has been examined under blacklight and does not show any evidence of prior restoration. The silver with light surface scratches, minor abrasions and dents, and some scattered discolorations throughout consistent with age and gentle handling. The box with polish residue to the recessed areas of the design. The interior of the box with some accretions and polish residue. A very charming enamel design accented with amethyst cabochons.
