Condition
Overall in good original condition. The silver presents with a few surface scratches, minor dents to the edges and minor tarnishing scattered throughout which could be polished, consistent with age and gentle use. The clear glass face has possibly been replaced at some point in the history of the piece and presents with a few light surface scratches. The enamel has been examined under black light and shows no evidence of prior restoration. The arms appear untouched and undisturbed. When viewed in person, the mother of pearl elements display rich nuances which impart the piece with more depth than seen in the catalogue illustration. The turquoise, present with vivid colors and appear to be original to the clock. The large turquoise on the top with a very thin hairline running throughout, not visually distracting. The top of the door at the back is very slightly bent, which does not prevent the door from closing. The movement impressed 503 and missing one screw. The movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloguing and was not tested for accuracy of time. It may need service at the buyer's discretion. A jewel-like object with delicate decoration and very nice presence when viewed first hand.
