Condition

Overall good condition. The silver presents with a few light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The bottom of the handles at the front, on the side visible on the catalogue illustration with minor restorations to the extremity, not visually distracting. The stones appear to be original and undisturbed and present with a few light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. When viewed in person, the blue presents with more nuance and detailing to the stone than seen in the catalogue illustration. A gorgeous example of Ashbee's work, with a highly dynamic shape and beautiful contrast between the color of the sodalite and silver.
