  • salt-glazed stoneware

Provenance

Sotheby's New York, December 6, 1997, lot 112

Condition

Overall in good condition. The glaze presents with wonderfully nuanced coloration. The surfaces presents with light surface scratches and minor surface imperfections consistent with age and gentle use. A few areas of sensitively undertaken restoration concentrated along the fins of the fish. One minor crease above the proper left side fin, inherent to the making. A very nice example of the artists' highly-detailed glazed and naturalist design.
