Desk: Overall in good condition. When viewed in person, the wood surfaces present with a slightly more honey color, less red than in the catalogue illustration. The surfaces with minor surface scratches, edge abrasions, minor discoloration and surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The construction lines are slightly disjoint at the top of the legs as seen on the left front leg in the catalogue illustration. The top with minor separation of the veneer and a few scattered restorations along the edges. One larger area of restoration along the side of the top over approximately 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. Side Chair: measurements: 30 1/4 x 17 3/4 x 23 1/4 in. (76.8 x 45.1 x 59.1 cm) Overall in good condition. The legs have been applied with a white finish as seen in the catalogue illustration. The wood surfaces present with minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions and minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The chair has been reupholstered in a neutral white muslin. The upholstery is in good condition with minor surface dirt concentrated to the upper portion of the backrest and consistent with age and gentle use. It is believed that this chair might have originally been totally upholstered in white leather as seen in the referenced archive photograph. Low Chair: measurements: 25 7/8 x 19 7/8 x 26 1/4 in. (65.7 x 50.5 x 66.7 cm) Overall in good condition. The legs have been applied with a white finish as seen in the catalogue illustration. The wood surfaces present with minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions and minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The chair has been reupholstered in a neutral white muslin. The upholstery is in good condition with minor surface dirt concentrated to the upper portion of the backrest and consistent with age and gentle use. Overall a very elegant set in good condition with very good provenance.
