Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass Tulip shades are an assembled set, displaying subtle variations in form and coloration. The shades are in good condition with air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. Three shades each with a small chip to its top aperture, not visible when the shade is installed. One shade (installed in upper-most position in the catalogue illustration) with subtle decoration and more prominent ribbing, and with an irregularity inherent in the glass measuring approximately ¼ inch in length, visible with remitted light. The base displays with a rich russet brown and green patina with light surface scratches, abrasions and surface soiling to the recessed areas consistent with age and gentle handling. A rare and dynamic design with beautiful spiraling decoration to the base standard, finely articulated detailing, and richly iridized shades.
