Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 9 cracks throughout, all seemingly stable. The shade with light surface soiling to the glass and adjacent borders of the shade leading throughout, consistent with age and gentle handling. The shade does not appear to have any replaced glass tiles. The base displays with a rich russet brown and green patina with light surface scratches, abrasions and surface soiling consistent with age and gentle handling. The circumference of base cushion with scattered abrasions and minor losses to the patina. The upper petal motif of one foot is slightly bent outward and therefore is not flush with the base cushion. All three sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With period finial; base wheel fitted with threaded pin. A wonderful example of the “Clematis” shade pattern, displaying a very painterly glass selection with a wide range of rich hues.
