Description

  • Daum
  • Vase
  • engraved DAUM NANCY FRANCE with the Croix de Lorraine
  • acid-etched glass

Provenance

Macklowe Gallery, New York

Condition

Overall in very good original condition. When viewed in person, the vase has a more vivid color than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The glass with some small and minute air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. With edge irregularities and burst air bubbles inherent to the production technique. The surfaces with minor surface scratches and light surface dirt to the recessed areas, consistent with age and gentle use. Very few minute chips to the corner of the decoration, only visible upon close inspection. A nice example of Daum's acid-etched glass work with dynamic decoration. 6 7/8 in. diameter
