the globular body rising from a flared foot to a waisted neck with a single horizontal rib and terminating in a wide trumpet mouth, painted in iron-red and bright enamels with reserves of peony, chrysanthemum, aster, dahlia, iris, rose, and prunus, as well as reserves of the 'Hundred Antiques' against floral and stippled backgrounds, the interior and base glazed white, the latter with an underglaze blue double ring

Condition
The neck and mouth above the horizontal rib have restored breaks all around; some of the restoration to the interior of the neck has discolored to pale pink. There is an approx. 3-cm restored chip to the foot (restoration discolored to pink). The enamels are in mostly good condition, with only minor expected war to the surface and footring. There is an old label applied to the base: "Ralph M Chait Galleries New York".
