Description
- Ceramic and wood
of barrel form, the center with a band of peacocks amidst a dense openwork landscape of blossoming peonies and rockwork, flanked by two lion masks, framed above and below by circular raised bosses, the slightly domed top with a central pierced peony medallion, in dark blue, pale yellow, aubergine glazes and white biscuit, wood stand (2)

Condition
The seat has restoration to an approx. 8.5-cm section of the top edge, to both masks (including the relief horns), and to two of the lower bosses (and their immediate surrounding areas). There is a horizontal firing crack around approx. half of the reticulated register. The overall surface is matte and has expected wear.
Please note that this lot includes a stand, frame or other component made from a type of Chinese hardwood, which, if exported, will require a CITES permit to leave the United States.
