A SOFT PASTE BLUE AND WHITE 'PHOENIX AND KUILONG' BOTTLE VASE QING DYNASTY, YONGZHENG PERIOD

finely-potted, the globular body raised on a short slightly splayed foot to a tall cylindrical neck and wide galleried mouth rim, molded with horizontal ribs to the body, shoulder and neck, finely painted around the body with two registers of archaistic phoenix and kuilong amidst a dense ground of scrolling lotus, all above a band of overlapping lappets at the foot, the neck painted with three registers of suspended chimes and auspicious emblems, all below a broad band of upright lappets and a cloud scroll border at the rim

The body in overall good condition, but with cracks throughout the base and a hairline crack around the neck. Minute firing imperfections throughout and expected wear to the footring.
