the rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a flared rim, the exterior brightly enameled in red, green, and aubergine with two striding five-clawed dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' amidst flame scrolls and cloud wisps, all above a border of petal lappets at the foot, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a green dragon in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl,' the base with a six-character mark within a double circle in underglaze blue, the fifth claw of each dragon effaced, the rim bound in metal

Condition

One hairline crack extending downward from the rim 2 1/8 inches. Three short glaze cracks to the interior. The metal band inhibits the examination of the condition of the porcelain rim, but no chips were detected. The metal rim is slightly loose.
