- 80 by 64 cm.; 31 1/2 by 25 1/4 in.
Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is stable, and the varnish is clear and even. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. Close inspection reveals a handful of minor and unobtrusive abrasions scattered along the edges, with two very small associated paint losses, one in the upper left corner, and on in the lower right corner. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals two campaigns of restoration, some older retouchings in the background and in the sitter's shoulder, and newer retouchings sensitively executed in a vertical line down the sitter's face and in the drapery, which are not visible to the naked eye. In overall fair condition.
