the cover and body chased with lobes and strap-work, openwork scrolling finial and mermaid thumb-piece, bearded figurehead capped scroll handle, the underside later inscribed with town, maker and his dates

Condition

marked on body and cover, clear marks, finial fixed to cover, a few little dents, scratches and wear commensurate with age, general condition good.
