Description

  • 23.5cm., 9 1/4 in. high
cylindrical form with lobed sides, embossed with alternating panels of birds in blossom trees, figural groups, rampant dragons and climbing bamboo and chrysanthemum, central initialled cartouche, each side applied with a grotesque winged mask carrying ring handles, cover embossed with dragons among clouds, terminating with a cast dragon and pearl finial, raised on four stylised bamboo bracket feet, gilded interior

Condition

Clear marks to underside. Good gilding patina to interior. Small loss to dragon paw on cover. In general light surface wear and good overall condition throughout.
