- 16.4cm., 6 1/2 in. and 18.5cm., 7 1/4 in. high
modelled by Johann Peter Melchior in the white, depicting three children and a dog upon a rockwork base, wheel mark in underglaze-blue; together with a Höchst-Damm group of two children, mid-19th century, after the model "Der bekränzte Schläfer", by Melchior, depicting a young shepherdess trying to wake her resting companion, seated beneath an urn resting on a plinth, blue wheel and letter D mark,
Condition
The Höchst white group, in generally good condition, the two front figures lacking a thumb, the standing male figure lacking an element in his left hand.
The Höchst-Damm group, the urn re-stuck at its terminal, the female figure re-stuck at the waist and left wrist, lacking her right thumb and forefinger.
