18 Karat Gold, Opal, Colored Diamond and Diamond Necklace, Michael Youssoufian

Designed as a flexible collar, set with an emerald-cut fire opal, within an openwork mounting decorated with heart-shaped motifs, accented by tumbled fire opals and jelly opals, with round near colorless diamonds and variously-cut diamonds of yellow and brown hue, length 16 inches, with maker's mark for Michael Youssoufian.

In good condition. Two of the fire opals have been repaired and one is currently missing. The larger fire opals are translucent, medium orange with some very minor surface abrasions. The smaller fire opals display weak to moderate play of color. The diamonds are approximately J-L color, VS-SI clarity. Please note that two opals have become detached and will be repaired for the purchaser by Sotheby's.
