The cushion-shaped purple sapphire within a frame and suspension of foliate deisign set with circular-cut diamonds, signed A.Tilander.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS, report no. 77107-55, stating that the purple sapphire is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heating. Signed A. Tilander, stamped PT for platinum, on reverse of pendant bail. Sapphire light purple, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, one very minor chip to crown towards girdle, measuring approximately 11.6 x 9.0 x 4.2mm, calculated to weigh approximately 3.51 carats. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity SI on average. Light scratches to stone and metal surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Overall length approximately 50mm.
