Sapphire and diamond parure, 1960s

Comprising: a hinged bangle set to the front with oval sapphires, brilliant-cut, marquise-shaped and baguette diamonds, inner circumference approximately 160mm; a brooch of foliate design similarly set; a pair of pendent earrings of cluster design set with oval sapphires and brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, post fittings; and a ring set with oval sapphires, circular and single-cut diamonds, size J, each with maker's mark.

Each piece with LB maker's mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Sapphires well matched in colour, blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some with visible colour zoning, abrasions and nicks. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.00 - 9.00 carats, on average I-K colour, SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of wear to the metal. Earrings with one back fitting deficient.
